Happy Thanksgiving to all the American listeners out there! I've recently discovered that the Chicago House sound is alive and kickin', with great new artists like Bryan Jones (http://www.djbryanjones.com/) keeping the flame burning, with his wonderland of beats sounding like the lovechild of Todd Edwards and Derrick Carter. This is also the first mix I've released that was done entirely with the VCI-100 SE (shouts to djtechtools.com), so apologies if the filter madness gets a little much. I think I'm still trying to prove that controllerism is real DJ'ing Trevor Loveys - Turn It Up Flap Computer Paul Podcast 5

This mix is all about a late night drive on a dark highway with just your headlights showing the way. Or late night 4am cruising on the boulevard. This is a darker mix of mostly "nu disco" style tracks, slowly building up into a deep tech house kind of vibe. Stay tuned if you like the lighter stuff, next month will be a mostly old school disco session. Send feedback to basscakes at gmail.com! Thanks for listening and thanks for your support around the world! Computer Paul Podcast Episode 4

This time I really wanted to make something unconventional, so I pulled out all the stops and created this crazy mish-mash of disco, house, funk, raregroove, breaks, electro, and techno. It attempts to capture the variety of great styles of music old and new that I love, and harkens back to the old Freeskool days. I've been tweaking my MIDI controller settings as well for more psychotic effects, which clearly have the potential to get a little crazy at times. Enjoy! Computer Paul Disco Edit Podcast (#3)

I upgraded to Traktor Pro and ripped out this mix. So many options, so many buttons to push! Also less talking this time, more music. Definitely more of a clubby mix, but features a 50/50 blend of contemporary disco edits and classic disco edits, along with a few house beats underneath to keep the bass levels pumping. Enjoy! Live in the mix with Traktor DJ! This mix is completely live with no edits or other tomfoolery. A nice selection of disco, disco edits, some live on the fly disco edits!, house, and some breaks. Ask for tracklisting. Computer Paul Podcast Episode 1: July 15 2009
